Frequently asked questions.

Do I need to make a reservation?

Yes, a reservation and a $50 non refundable deposit is required for all bridal bouquets. Please make the reservation for your wedding date as far in advance as possible. We want to be able to provide you with the best service possible and arranging for arrival of your flowers is the best way we can assure this.

A reservation and $50 deposit is needed for memorial flowers also, but we understand that you may be making the reservation close to the time of your service.

How soon do you need my flowers?

The fresher the blooms are, the better they will look after pressing. I prefer to receive the flowers within 2 days of the ceremony. If blooms are older than that, we can attempt to preserve them, but the outcome may be affected by the amount of wilting.

How will I get the flowers to you?

You can get your flower to us one of three ways.

1-We are located in the village of Waunakee, a suburb of Madison, WI. You are welcome to arrange to drop off you flowers at our location.

2-We also offer local pick up of flowers in our area for an additional charge. This service is limited by our availability and the charge is calculated based on distance from our location.

3-You can ship your flowers to our location. If you plan to ship your flowers, I will get you detailed packaging and shipping instructions prior to your ceremony. Please note that overnight or 2 day shipping is recommended so that your flowers arrives as fresh as possible.

Will the flowers change colors over time?

Yes, many flowers change colors during the pressing process and most naturally preserved flowers will continue to fade to a more muted hue over time.

Our process for pressing and preserving the flowers allows for maintaining as much natural color as possible, but all flowers fade over time and some flowers can change colors significantly during the preserving process. During the pressing process each color may react differently. For example, white flowers often take on more of an antique ivory, yellow or light tan color, pink flowers may show more purple or red hues and red flowers may become a dark maroon color.

Many people feel that the natural changes in color and fading that occurs over time gives the artwork a beautiful aged patina, but if you prefer to maintain a more vibrant color over time, we do offer color correction for an additional charge.

What is color correction?

Color correction is process using dyes or paints to adjust and enhance the color of the preserved flowers to give them a color as close to their fresh appearance as possible. Since each bloom is painted separately, this is a very time consuming process and has an additional charge. We adjust the amount of this charge based of the number and extent of color correction needed.
